The files in this directory are snapshots of work in progress.
Their main purpose is to work as alpha or beta releases. They
may contain important bug fixes and/or new features. But
the documentation may be not up to date and features may be
not fully functional. And of course new bugs may be introduced.

The main purposes of snapshots are:
a) improve the quality official releases by more extensive 
  pre-release testing
b) make bug fixes and new features available to the public earlier
  (in other words, increase frequency of deliveries)

Everyone is encouraged to try out the snapshots and report
any problems encountered to the ttf2pt1 mailing list !
